Data we process

• Account data — name, email, password hash, subscription state, and billing references.
• Usage data — queries, chat history (per company if you enable history), feature interactions, timestamps.
• Technical data — device/OS/browser info, IP address, logs, and performance metrics.
• Support data — messages you send to support and related attachments.
• Cookies — essential (for login/session) and optional (analytics/performance) cookies.

Sensitive personal data is not required to use Azad. Please avoid entering sensitive data into free-text fields.

Why we process your data (legal bases)

• Provide the service (Contract) — to create and manage your account, deliver search and deep dive features, and maintain security.
• Improve and protect Azad (Legitimate interests) — to monitor performance, detect abuse, debug issues, and develop new features.
• Analytics and marketing (Consent) — where applicable; you can withdraw at any time via Cookie settings.
• Compliance (Legal obligation) — to meet tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

LLM / AI features

When you use Azad’s AI features, your prompts and retrieved passages are sent to our model provider(s) to generate responses. We contractually limit providers’ use of this data for providing the service to us. We do not sell personal data.

Note: We do not use your prompts to train our own models unless we explicitly ask for and obtain your consent. Vendor-side training policies can differ; see the provider’s privacy terms (listed in “Service providers”).

Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Typical retention:

• Account data: for the life of the account and a short period thereafter for closure/security.
• Usage logs: short rolling windows for troubleshooting and security (e.g., 30–180 days).
• Billing/records: as required by law (e.g., up to 7 years in Sweden for accounting).
• Chat history (per-company): stored locally on your device unless you opt into cloud sync (if offered later).

Sharing & international transfers

We share data with service providers under data-processing agreements (DPAs) and only as needed to run Azad (e.g., hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, model inference). Some providers may process data outside the EEA; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs).

Your rights (EEA/UK)

• Access a copy of your personal data.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Port data to another provider.
• Restrict or object to certain processing (e.g., analytics or marketing).
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).

To exercise your rights, email privacy@conamur.se. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY), the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, logging, and backups. No method is 100% secure; we will notify users and/or authorities of data incidents as required by law.

Children

Azad is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, when appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Your continued use of Azad after changes indicates acceptance.
